Fitness Center Orientation

The Fitness Center of the Student Activity & Academic Center is located on the first floor of the facility and features six Woodway treadmills, four arc trainers, two AMTs, two ellipticals, one upright bike, two recumbent bikes, 16 pieces of Cybex strength and conditioning training equipment, and free weights ranging from 3 to 80 pounds. Located beneath the stairs you will find stability balls and a stretching area.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by all of the options? Not sure how to use the strength and conditioning machines or operate a certain piece of cardio equipment? Look no further!

Each Emory student/SAAC member receives one FREE 30-minute SAAC Fitness Center Orientation per semester. During this orientation you will learn some of the basics in recreational fitness including use of the following machines:

  • Cybex Eagle Row
  • Cybex Eagle Incline Pull
  • Cybex Eagle Seated Leg Curl
  • Cybex Eagle Seated Leg Extension
  • Cybex Eagle Chest Press
  • Cybex Eagle Fly/Rear Delt
  • One piece of cardio equipment of your choosing: treadmill, elliptical, bike, AMT or arc trainer!
